Welcome to Zheng's homepage!
My name is Zheng Wu. I am now a graduate student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in University of California, San Diego. My advisors are professor Jack K. Wolf and Paul H. Siegel. I am also with the Center for Magnetic Recording Research (CMRR) in UCSD.
I got my Bachelor's on Electronic Techniques and Information Systems and Master's degree on Communication and Information Systems in the Department of Electronic Engineering in Tsinghua University, Beijing in 2000 and 2003 respectively. After that, I came to UCSD and started my Ph.D program. I am currently working on error correcting codes and signal processing techniques in magnetic recording systems, basically techniques used in hard disk drives. I am interested in information theory, error correcting codes and communications.
