Ahsan Samiee

I am a graduate student studying Mechanical Engineering at University of California, San Diego (UCSD). I am from Tehran, Iran and came to US in 2004. I lived in the suburbs of Philadelphia for two years where I got my Master's from Villanova University. I moved to San Diego in 2006 and started my PhD studies.

In a separate page, I have summarized the skills I have acquired during many years of studying engineering and from experiences I have had from couple of years of work and a few internships. 

My non-academic interests are in music and sports. However I am also addicted to weblog browsing and reading political and historical articles and websites. I play classical and electric guitars and a little bit of drums and tar (a Persian instrument) and listen to a variety of music. I enjoy playing soccer, tennis and ping pong and have started surfing recently, however no luck so far! I also enjoy dancing Salsa and other Latin dances.
